BPA provided design services for the NW 21st Avenue Mobility Improvement/Bridge Replacement project from Oakland Park Blvd. to Commercial Blvd. This project consists of widening 1.5 miles of road to add buffered bike lanes, add sidewalk at gap locations, upgrade ADA features, and replace the existing bridge over the SFWMD C-13 canal. The scope of work also included drainage, signing and pavement markings, lighting, signalization and landscaping upgrades.
BPA’s construction cost estimate came within 1% of that of the contractor’s bid, reflecting the accuracy of our estimating staff. Our Roadways & Structures teams also received an outstanding District Four PASS Score of 4 for our Final Plans Submittal. BPA is currently providing post-design services and construction support. Construction completion is anticipated in late 2020.
